We are the fourth generation of a native fishing family from La Playa, San José del Cabo.
Our story began more than 70 years ago and is deeply connected to the ocean, our community, and our passion for fishing.

The First
Generations
It all began with our great-grandfather, Leonardo Bañaga, who dedicated his life to the sea and started a family tradition that continues to this day.
Later, our grandfather, José Ceseña, carried that legacy forward, passing down the knowledge, stories, and deep respect for these waters from one generation to the next.

Our father inherited that same passion and, over the years, became known as one of the most experienced and respected fishermen in La Playa.
Before the Puerto Los Cabos marina existed, fishing was an essential part of everyday life in our community. Most boats were pulled onto the beach after each trip, while our father’s 26-foot boat remained anchored just offshore.
That boat became part of the coastline that shaped our childhood memories.

Growing Up
on the Sea
From a young age, we had the privilege of joining our father on countless fishing trips. By his side, we learned how to read the ocean, understand currents, respect nature, and appreciate the value of experience.
Over the years, while continuing our fishing tradition, we also gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Today we combine both worlds: local knowledge of these waters and warm, professional, personalized service for every guest who joins us.
